While I've been at Hopkins, I've had the privilege of helping with plenty of outreach events. Here are some of the highlights of what I've been up to!
Astronomy on Tap Baltimore was revived in January 2023 and has been going strong ever since! We hold bimonthly events at Guilford Hall Brewery, featuring talks from local (or out-of-town guest) astronomers about their science and space-themed trivia.
I served as one of the Maryland Space Grant's Observatory Fellows from summer 2023 to spring 2024. I ran weekly observatory open houses, telescope trainings, and small group events in 2023 and then served as the backup for these roles in 2024. During my tenure as Fellow, I helped with outreach events sponsored by the Space Telescope Science Institute and Whiting School of Engineering and hosted observatory visits for Boy Scout and Girl Scout troops.
After several years of cancellation, the JHU Department of Physics and Astronomy was finally able to bring back the Physics Fair in 2025! This is an annual event that coincides with the Hopkins Spring Fair where we turn the Bloomberg Center into a physics museum and open it up for the local community to explore and enjoy. I helped organize the fair by managing the physics competition components. We had around 300 people attend the fair in 2025 and are excited to strive for more in the coming years!

On April 8, 2024, Baltimore experienced a partial solar eclipse. Over 1,000 people came out to the Beach on Hopkins campus to see it! As part of my duties as Observatory Fellow, we brought some of the Space Grant's telescopes for guests to use and participated in the Dynamic Eclipse Broadcast program to record our view of the eclipse as it happened.
The GWiP Summit is an annual event intended to foster connections and support among the women, members of gender minorities, and other people underrepresented in physics and astronomy in the DMV area. I assisted with some of the logistical and catering-related efforts and took pictures on the day of the event.
